About composite bonding

Learn all about Composite Bonding treatments and what patients can expect during the process

What can composite bonding fix?

Composite bonding is completely non-invasive and is a fantastic way to completely change your smile. Composite bonding can fix a number of different cosmetic traits which you may not be happy with. The list includes, but is not limited to:

  • Small misalignments or mildly crooked teeth
  • Gaps between teeth and gums
  • Uneven teeth, providing a more level smile
  • Tooth colour, making them all the same shade (and brighter!) to create a more even look
  • Worn edges and chips
  • Old restorations in need of replacement
  • Create wider smiles
  • Short teeth can be made longer

Before and Afters of Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is perfect to improve the look and appearance of your smile without impacting the integrity of your natural teeth. Here are some examples…

What is the process of getting Composite Bonding like?

In-clinic or Online Assessment

You’ll probably have a good idea of the kind of treatment you’re looking for, and what you want your smile to look like.

The first step is to send us a few photos of your smile which allows one of our highly trained treatment advisors to have a really great call with you, answering any immediate questions you may have and helping you make a well-informed decision about what your perfect smile looks like

You’ll be able to choose from a number of different options to suit your style and budget.

Receive your treatment plan

Our treatment advisor will discuss your smile with one of our aesthetically trained dentist who specialise in your preferred treatment. They will develop and outline for you a treatment plan designed to achieve your dream smile which we will send you for your approval.

All your options will be outlined in detail together with an understanding of what to expect before the appointment and while you are in our clinic.

Meet your dentist

After being welcomed to the clinic, your dentist will take the time to talk you through your treatment and after this final check, work on your new smile will begin.

Depending on your treatment, you could receive your new smile in under 3-hours.

Is composite bonding reversible?

Composite Bonding is almost always reversible, but we don’t think it should be necessary.

Should you wish to reverse it, composite would be taken off to return teeth to their natural shape. They may look duller and feel rougher for a few days but the roughness will smooth out over time.

At Smiles and Smiles, your case is assessed properly. Our dentists are highly trained and deliver excellent results, leaving you with a smile you’ll want to show off.

What if I want my composite bonding removed?

It’s no surprise that we want you to leave us smiling. In the weeks and months after having your smile transformed, we encourage you to speak to us about your concerns or issues regarding your composite bonding, as we are here to help, either by providing you with aftercare advice and solutions or even repeating the treatment until you are happy.

Despite this, if you’re still not feeling great about your smile, please speak to us and one of our Treatment Advisors will be able to support you with all the information you need to make an informed decision.
